Association "Mercury" Organized a Meeting on HIV/AIDS in Zugdidi
Samegrelo. In relation to the World Aids Day, the CSO "Mercury" has
organized a meeting on December 1 in the Zugdidi Civic Engagement Center.
Meeting participants have discussed the causes of HIV infection, preventive
measures, and the need of adequate public attitude towards the infected.
According to the Head of association "Mercury" Nana Todua,
notwithstanding the fact that the myth that AIDS means death is destroyed, the
stereotypes and stigmas are still persisting among the society.
The
spread and prevention of HIV/AIDS were also discussed at the meeting.
