Tbilisi. On September 24, the Human Rights and Civil Integration Committee of the Parliament of Georgia discusses the legislative proposal. The initiative aims to increase women political participation in the representative bodies of Georgia through quotation. Women’s Information Center is one of the initiators of the change.

''The legislative proposal considers amendments to the Electoral Code, according to which the political parties have to meet mandatory gender quota while submitting the lists for electoral registration at parliamentary elections'' – is stated on the web-page of the organization.
