Kakheti. On July 29, 2016, the Public Defender's Regional Department organized a meeting between members of the National Prevention Mechanism and Kakheti region’s criminal lawyers and non-governmental organizations. "The meeting was aimed at getting additional information about the use of excessive force by police and the rights situation of the detainees, as well as exchanging information about the activities of the Public Defender's Office”.
