Coalition statement regarding independence of a court
Tbilisi. The Coalition for an Independent and Transparent Judiciary responds to the decisions of the Disciplinary Committee and the Chamber of Disciplinary Cases regarding the case of Giorgi Sulakadze, a judge.
"During the last period of time the Coalition was attempting to obtain additional information regarding mentioned disciplinary case and, as a matter of fact, got familiarized and studied decisions, which were published on the website of the Committee. Based on the study the Coalition considers that the practice stipulated by mentioned decisions contains a threat to the independence of a court” – is noted in the joint statement.
