Intersection of Business and Politics: Problem of the "Revolving Door" in Georgia
Tbilisi. Transparency International – Georgia plans to
release the study on the problems of "Revolving Door”, and in the meantime
releases the publication. The term "Revolving Door” refers to the movement of officials between
the private and public sectors. Numerous persons have moved from the private
sector to the high official positions, or vice versa. Therefore the
organization believes that more attention should be paid to the "Revolving
Door”. It can be useful in terms of sharing the experience, knowledge and
practice, but can turn into a problem as well, when the interests are
intersected. Hence, the organization finds it important to introduce relevant regulatory
norms of the "Revolving Door”.
