Tbilisi. The Georgian Young Lawyers' Association
has reacted to developments around the President's annual speech in the
Parliament. GYLA explains that on one hand the President of Georgia is
obligated to deliver the annual speech before the Parliament, while on the
other hand the Parliament is obligated to listen to the speech. "We call
on the Parliament of Georgia to take into account the requirements of the
Regulations, fulfill the obligation imposed on it and provide timely
possibility to the President of Georgia of appearing with an annual speech as
stipulated in the Constitution, as this cannot be achieved through other
means", says the statement published on the organization's web page.
