Response of the Georgian National Communications Commission
Tbilisi. The Georgian National Communications
Commission (GNCC) has responded to the study
prepared by the "Levan Mikeladze Foundation" and the "Georgian
Young Lawyers' Association" about the Commission. Authors of the study
believe that the Commission should play a more active role in the process of
transition to digital broadcasting. According to the statement of the Georgian
National Communications Commission, the Commission is involved in all work
processes. Other allegations of the study's authors concerned varied approach
of the Commission towards the companies and the approval of an annual budget in
an ambiguous manner.
