Tbilisi. Human Rights Education and Monitoring Center (EMC) releases a joint statement regarding a Bill on Labor Safety.
According to the statement, important issues related to the law are: demand of the Ministry of Economy to narrow down an area of operation of the law; inadequate amount of fines, which is a significant deficiency of the bill; and the third issue is a procedure for visiting a workplace by an inspector.
Applicant organizations consider that the above-mentioned issues should be eradicated by all means in order to create a secure work environment.
