EMC complains about arbitrary practice of granting a status of victim
Tbilisi. Human Rights Education and Monitoring Center (EMC) has filed a lawsuit in the Constitutional Court.
EMC considers that norms of legislation, which, on the one hand, significantly complicate the process of granting a status of victim to a person, while on the other hand, substantially restrict participation of a victim in a criminal proceeding, even in the case when the status is granted, are unconstitutional.
