Tbilisi. According to the Gender Informational portal, for the first time a woman will be holding the position of President of the European Commission.

“The European Commission will be headed by Ursula von der Leyen, a representative of Germany, who has been appointed as Minister of Defense of Germany since 2013, while the European Central Bank – by Christine Lagarde, former Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund”, - is stated on the portal.
