Tbilisi. Coalition for an Independent and Transparent Judiciary responds to significant gaps existing in disciplinary proceedings against judges.
“Despite passing four waves of a reform in recent years, the current system of disciplinary liability of judges cannot ensure fairness, objectivity and effectiveness of this process, which fact is conditioned by a power concentrated in the hands of those at influential group and gaps in legislation”, - is noted in the statement released by the Coalition.
