Tbilisi. On March 25 and 27, Human Rights Education and Monitoring Center (EMC) applied to the Batumi City Court to defend interests of Shorena Glonti, former Head of News Service, and Maia Merkviladze, former Deputy Head, of Adjara TV and Radio of Public Broadcaster.
“We consider that decisions against both Maia Merkviladze and Shorena Glonti are taken with gross violation of law and aim at limiting authority of those responsible for editorial independence”, - is stated on the website of the organization.
