Joint statement of CSOs

Tbilisi. CSOs published a joint statement in regard to sanctions announced against opposition parties.

Non-governmental organizations express their extreme concern in regard to the initiative announced by the Government, which essentially aims at imposing sanctions on opposition parties for their protest that reflected in the rejection of mandates by opposition members of the Parliament.

“Such statements once again indicate that the Government does not properly realize its responsibility in the process of resolving the current crisis, while its rhetoric is perceived as threatening opposition parties - to act in accordance with directives of the Government so as not to become victims of sanctions set by the ruling party”, - is noted in the joint statement.
