Statement of non-governmental organizations in regard to the fact of leaving the curfew in force
Tbilisi. Signatory organizations respond to the fact of leaving the curfew in force by the Government of Georgia in parallel with easing restrictions.
“Current curfew disproportionately restricts freedom of movement of people, raises reasonable doubts about its usefulness in terms of achieving the goal and is not the least restrictive means of the right. “We call on the Government of Georgia to lift the curfew and stop unjustified restriction of human rights, motivated by fight against spread of COVID-19, as well as use of unconstitutional measures”, - is stated on the website of the organization.
