Staff employed at municipal N(N)LEs and LLCs and labor costs
Tbilisi. The Institute for Development of Freedom of Information has prepared a study – “Staff employed at municipal N(N)LEs and LLCs and labor costs”.
It is stated in the document: “The imbalance existing among amounts of labor remuneration of staff employed at municipal legal entities is particularly noticeable between the Tbilisi municipality and regions. The highest-paid positions are concentrated in Tbilisi. Besides, the pay gap in similar positions is often disproportionate to the pay gap existing in general among average wages of those hired not as staff. Respectively, the practice of current wage policy at municipal N(N)LEs contributes to deepening of social inequality between regions and the capital”.
