Tbilisi.The Institute for the Development of Freedom
of Information (IDFI) has released the statistical public information on the
crimes obtained from the Ministry of Interior of Georgia. Based on the
information received from the Ministry, the organization's release states that
"total of 11,708 crimes were registered in January-March in Georgia, which
compared to the registered 10,033 crimes in the relevant months of last year
has increased by 16,6%. Although the percentage of solved crimes in
January-March 2013 compared to the respective months of last year has
increased, more crimes (7871) are still unresolved (7143) in the first quarter
of 2013 compared to the last year data."
