Imereti. A gender equality event was organized on May 15 in front of the Parliament. "Gender Equality Network" and the "Journalist Network for Gender Equality" have participated in the event.According to the organizers, the event aimed at informing the population, the Parliament and the Government about the mechanisms of gender equality, gender quoting and the political empowerment of women.The event was held with the support of the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) and the US Agency for International Development (USAID).
