“Whether or not stereotypical approaches are hostile, they stir up inequality in any case. In addition, if gender stereotypes are combined with other stereotypes, it disproportionately negatively affects certain groups of women, such as members of minority groups, women with disabilities, women with low economic status, migrant women, and so on.

Gender stereotypes are a common cause of discrimination against women and often contribute to the violation of a wide range of rights such as the right to health, adequate living conditions, education, marriage, freedom from gender-based violence, employment, freedom of expression, freedom of movement, political participation and representation”.
