Tbilisi City Court satisfied Transparency International Georgia's plea

Tbilisi.  Tbilisi City Court satisfied Transparency International Georgia's plea for the annulment of the Order #30 issued by the Finance Minister Nodar Khaduri on 25 January 2013. "We would like to remind our readers that this Order imposed a set of new regulations which created serious problems for both small and medium sized enterprises involved in the carrier business. Furthermore they placed Georgian Post in an unfairly advantageous position on the market”, says the organization's web page.
The decision has not yet come into force. The Ministry of Finance has 14 calendar days to lodge a complaint to the appeals court after receiving an official court ruling. If the Ministry of Finance does not apply to the appeals court, the regulations applied in January 2013 will be automatically annulled and the shippers will be able to get back on the market.
