Adjara. On August 20, the civil society organization "Young Lawyers”
held the news briefing in the Batumi Civic Engagement Center about Tamar
Kaikatsishvili, the teacher dismissed from the Kobuleti Public College. As
alleged by her lawyer, the teacher’s civil and political rights have been
violated. As the organizers of the press-conference have noted, the Tbilisi
Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights has also
expressed its concern with respect to this fact. The "Young Lawyers” do not
exclude submitting the complaint in Geneva with the UN Human Rights Committee.
