August 30, the "Union of Warriors with Disabilities and Spouses of Killed
Warriors" has held in the Batumi Civic Engagement Center the presentation
of the project – "Gender Equality in Political Processes".
The project aims to reveal the problems
and stereotypes undermining the gender equality policy in Georgia and identify
the ways of their solution.
CSO representatives have attended the
meeting, who have discussed during the second half of the meeting the factors
preventing gender equality, as well as named the stereotypes acting against the
gender equality.
The project is funded by the
International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) and the United States
Agency for International Development (USAID), as part of the project
"Building of Trust towards Electoral Processes".
