Imereti. On September 26, the
cleaning event was held in village Darkveti of the Chiatura Municipality. The
event was held as part of CENN's regional initiative ("Enhancing Rural
Women and Their Involvement in Sustainable Management of Natural Resources in
the South Caucasus Countries") and the representatives of the women's council
founded in village Darkveti, school students and the local population have
participated in it.
The event aimed at raising the concerns over
environmental problems among the local population and especially the youth. The
initiative is implemented with the financial support of the German Foundation
EED.
