The Council of the Charter of Journalistic Ethics released a statement, which states that in recent months insulting expressions and attempts of pressure against journalists have become really frequent. The Council appeals to relevant authorities "to respond to all such facts and protect the safety of journalists to maximum extent during the pre-election campaign as well as on the polling day".
