June 14 – International Day of Persons with Disabilities
Adjara. A public meeting and discussion was held
on June14 at the initiative of the
Batumi Civic Engagement Center, aimed at promoting the right public attitude
towards persons with disabilities, and urging the persons with disabilities to
become more active. To raise their motivation, documentaries on the successful
lives and achievements of persons with disabilities were shown. The meeting was
followed up with a discussion where persons with disabilities and their parents
have asked the Deputy Ministers of Health and Education questions of concern to
them.
