ISFED about Election results

Tbilisi. The International Society for Fair Elections and Democracy was monitoring the second round of the localself-government elections on July 12, 2014 in 28 electoral districts around Georgia. "ISFED believes that the second round of local self-government elections set an important precedent in the electoral history of Georgia. The necessity of the second round in these elections proved that a competitive electoral environment is forming in Georgia, which means that no party, including the ruling one, is guaranteed a victory in the first round. We think that the aforementioned set a higher standard for conducting democratic elections in the country".
