Tbilisi. CSO "Partnership for Equal Rights" (PHR) has addressed state agencies with the application to ensure accessible environment for persons with disabilities. In particular, the application requested taking into consideration the accessibility standards during the construction of Metro Station "University", so that persons with disabilities are able to use the services of the Tbilisi Metro without any constraints.

"The Georgian Municipal Development Fund has examined the application and found it possible to ensure access in the constructing Metro station. PHR will continue advocating on increased access in other Metro stations by examining the issue with relevant agencies in order to secure the access foreseen in Article 9 of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UN CRPD)," says the organization's web page in the social network.
