Film – “Discrimination against Children with Disabilities - School on the Borjomi Street”
Tbilisi. The Human Rights Education and Monitoring Center has
released a short video film - "Discrimination against Children with
Disabilities - School on the Borjomi Street". "One of the doors of
the "Free Pedagogy Center", the educational and rehabilitation institution
of children with disabilities located in Tbilisi on the Borjomi Street, which
links it to the Aghmashenebeli Avenue and is a convenient space for the school
beneficiaries for entering the building, was welded by the neighbors. The
institution's management and parents of schoolchildren explain this fact by
intolerant attitude of neighbors towards the school's beneficiaries. According
to them, disability of these children is the very basis of neighbors'
aggression", says the description of the film.
