The Embassy of Sweden announces the international training program - "Efficient Energy Use and Planning"
scheduled to take place in Sweden, November 15 - December 5, 2013.
Invited countries to the program are; Belarus, Moldova, Ukraine,
Georgia, Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Albania and Macedonia.
The programme also includes a regional phase to take place in one of the
participating countries.
Swedish knowledge about efficient use of energy and renewable energy
sources is based on long experience of design and construction,
operation and maintenance, asset management and manufacturing of
equipment for the energy sector. Sweden also has extensive experience of
using various policy measures in order to promote sustainable energy
and reduce impact of energy use on the environment.
In the Swedish and EU policies for combating Climate Change, measures to
improve energy efficiency in all sectors of the society play a vital
role. Thus, the official EU target to reduce the energy use by 20% to
year 2020 will be supported by a whole range of policy measures (e.g.
carbon tax, energy advisory services, energy auditing, and energy
labelling) directed towards key stakeholders in the society, including
local governments, industries, and households.
The programme will be organised and conducted in English, therefore proficiency in English language is required.
