The USAID Human and Institutional Capacity Development (HICD) PLUS project is seeking for a
trainer to assist the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources Protection
of Georgia (MOEP). The MOEP is currently under the reorganization that
involves hiring a significant number of new staff. As soon as the MOEP
finishes recruitment process, it intends to train the newly recruited
people through the Environmental Information and Education Centre
(EIEC), a Legal Entity of Public Law under the MOEP. To perform this
function, EIEC staff needs to enhance their skills in (i) course
development and (ii) course delivery. HICD PLUS will assist EIEC and
provide its staff with the training expert.
It is expected that the training will take place in the second half of
September - beginning of October. The training will consist of two
parts, each part will last for not more than a week (two weeks in total
for both parts). The trainer will be based in the MOEP central office in
Tbilisi.
Responsibilities:
** Design and deliver a two-part training of trainers (TOT) focused on course design and delivery:
** The TOT on course design should teach participants how to develop
performance objectives for courses, create design documents, develop
instructor and participant materials, monitor and evaluate trainings,
manage training projects, put training systems in place, etc.
** The TOT on course delivery should focus on modern adult instructional delivery techniques.
Required qualifications:
** A university degree;
** At least 5 years of relevant experience;
** Strong analytical skills;
** Excellent communication skills;
** Ability to take initiative and work with tight deadlines;
** Fluency in Georgian;
** Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Programs, Excel, Internet, Power Point).
