The National Democratic Institute (NDI) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization working to support and strengthen democratic institutions worldwide through citizen participation, openness, and accountability in government. Under its Local Government Component of Elections and Political Processes Support Program funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), NDI seeks to hire a Program Officer to work with local governments and other stakeholders in up to 15 municipalities of Georgia. This is a supervisory position.

The program aims at increasing the accountability of the locally elected officials towards the citizens and partners with Sakrebulo members, the mayor`s offices and local civil society organizations.

Position: Local Government Program Officer, NDI GEORGIA

This is a full-time position based in Tbilisi, requiring regular field trips to partner municipalities. Mandatory working hours are from 09:30 to 18:30 with a one-hour lunch break, Monday-Friday.
