CARE is implementing the project "Implementing LEADER in Mestia municipality for better livelihoods in high mountainous regions of Georgia" which aims to contribute to poverty reduction and improved employment and living conditions in rural areas of Georgia. Through strengthening a model of participation and cooperation in local development that takes into account the European experience, the project will help foster the expansion of rural enterprises, through direct investment and rehabilitation of the local social and the economic infrastructure to boost its income generating capacity.
