Job Title: Intern (unpaid internship)

Department: Marketing, Communications and Resource Development

Location: Tbilisi

Duration: six months (negotiable) with a possibility of extension

Starting date: October 20, 2013

The Marketing, Communications and Resource Development Department (MCRD) at CARE International in the Caucasus (CIC) is looking for a motivated intern to help the Department in conducting its everyday activities and, more specifically, in producing working documents which result from the Department's initiatives. The intern will assist CIC's Strategic Communications Coordinator (SCC) and Resource Development Coordinator (RDC) in producing website content, preparing high-quality project concepts, communicating with numerous stakeholders (including the media) and mapping potential investors for CIC's strategic vision.

Key responsibilities:

** Support RDC, as needed, in the process of proposal development, writing and submission;

** Assist RDC in the process of inclusion of appropriate internal and external stakeholders in proposal development, and coordination of input from potential partners and other stakeholders;

** Assist RDC in the creation and regular update of key documents on donor strategies and priorities (investor mapping);

** Support SCC in preparing/translating website content;

** Support SCC in development of effective cooperation with media to increase awareness about CIC's activities by organizing TV/radio and newspaper interviews/talk shows;

** Update the existing mail distribution lists to effectively communicate with various stakeholders;

** Provide all other necessary support to the Department as deemed necessary by SCC and RDC.

Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in public administration, economics, public policy, PR and communications (or any other field relevant to development) from a reputable university

Desired:

** Advanced Degree (MA) in the fields listed above

** TOELF, IELTS or other proof of language proficiency

Experience Desired:

** Previous experience working for an international organization

** Previous experience of working in a team

** Previous experience working with complex databases

** Language Skills: English (fluent); Georgian and/or Russian (fluent).

Technical Skills Required:

** Excellent computer skills

** Excellent command of the English language (written and oral)

** Advanced knowledge of Excel, Access

** Audio/video editing software

** Advanced reading comprehension and writing skills in the English language

** Excellent critical thinking skills
