Information campaign about COVID-19 vaccination

The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is a service enterprise for development cooperation with international operations and global experience. Owned by the Federal Republic of Germany, the organisation operates as a private-sector enterprise with a development-policy mandate: to make sustainable improvements to the living conditions of people in partner countries world-wide.

The component is implemented within the joint initiative of projects: Sustainable Urban Mobility in the South Caucasus (Mobility4Cities) and Economic and social participation of vulnerable displaced and local population in the South Caucasus (EPIC), implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) in collaboration with the Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labour, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia (MoH).

Mobility4Cities supports city administrations in the South Caucasus to design, implement and further develop their urban transport systems in the frame of a participatory, sustainable and integrated urban development. Economic and social participation of vulnerable displaced and local population in the South Caucasus (EPIC) aims at the improved economic and social of participation of vulnerably groups through capacity development of service providers; increased income and economic perspectives of vulnerable groups, specifically of women; promoted social engagement and dialogue processes.

The component aims to promote the COVID-19 vaccination through a targeted information campaign, particularly among Armenian and Azerbaijani population in Georgia, as a measure to prevent the further spread of the virus and facilitate to the overall immunization process in the country.
