The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is seeking candidates for the position of Field Officer for Economic Security Program (EcoSec), based in Gori (Fixed Term Contract - 4.5 months).
Responsibilities:
Ÿ** Contributes to ICRC institutional and ad-hoc reporting (narrative / statistical), through oral and written progress reports
Ÿ** Assists the resident EcoSec officer in the field of data processing
Ÿ** Assists the resident EcoSec officer in the necessary admin/finance/logistics follow up
Ÿ** Assists the resident EcoSec officer in the planning of activities
Ÿ** Contributes and participates to the set-up, implementation and monitoring of the assistance programme
Ÿ** Ensures that data collection is carried out according to SOPs (forms, processes, etc.)
**Ÿ Is willing and able to travel independently within Shida-Khartli & Samtskhe-Javakheti for extended periods and spend up to 60% of his/her work in the field to conduct field work (assessment, implementation, monitoring)
**Ÿ Applies independently the ICRC vulnerability criteria and other working methodologies - as per the valid programme guidelines.
Required qualification:
** University degree in Agriculture, Economics or Social Sciences, Management or Education, Engineering
Ÿ** 2 years work experience in similar field of activity
Ÿ** Very good knowledge of spoken and written English
Ÿ** Very good computer skills including Excel, PowerPoint and Word (knowledge of other data bases and spreadsheet software is an asset)
Ÿ** Capacity to adhere to and to implement procedures
Ÿ** Good communication, presentation and reporting skills
Ÿ** Good negotiation skills, ability to analyse responses and propose solutions
Ÿ** Good rigor, method and analytical skills
Ÿ** Good knowledge of the political, social and cultural assigned environment
Ÿ** Great level of empathy and understanding of the victims and of the ICRC mandate and modes of action.
