The USAID Rule of Law Program seeks to hire a local legal expert to support the Public Defender`s Office (PDO) and its Department of Child`s Rights in assessing the access to justice for children under State Care and based on the findings, assist the PDO to develop a special report.

With this aim, the expert, together with expert-psychologist, will engage in the following activities: a) Develop a methodology for assessing the access to justice for children under State Care; b) Draft questionnaires for interviews which will be used by the experts and PDO representatives while interviewing relevant institution representatives and children for assessment purposes; c) Conduct desk research covering the analysis of international standards and best practices on the right of the child to have a access to justice; d) Assist the PDO in preparing the special report, with relevant recommendations on the access to justice for children under the State Care.
