East-West Management Institute's (EWMI) Policy, Advocacy, and Civil Society Development in Georgia (G-PAC) program is accepting applications for up to 20 paid internships for Georgian graduate students in public policy, political science, public administration, economics and related academic programs.
Amount of internship: $250 per month.
Duration of internship: Up to 6 months.
Deadline: Ongoing (the last Friday of every month).
Grants for internships are available for up to six months with leading Georgian civil society organizations (CSOs) and public institutions. Interns will conduct public policy research and/or contribute to a research-based advocacy campaign. The program will not cover positions in which administrative duties or tasks not related to policy research and/or advocacy constitute the bulk of activity. Internships may, but need not, take place in Tbilisi. Regional applicants are strongly encouraged.
Eligible candidates include enrolled graduate students and graduate students who have recently completed a degree. Interns may receive academic credits for their internships. As part of the award and for the purpose of fostering social responsibility, EWMI G-PAC will require all interns to volunteer for one month with a G-PAC sponsored program or a CSO after their internships.
Apply now!
Applications must include:
** The EWMI G-PAC Internship Grant application (See attached);
** A motivation letter;
** An up-to-date Curriculum Vitae (CV);
** A signed letter of offer from the CSO or public institution confirming the position, pending receipt of the internship grant; the letter should include a detailed description of at least three to four specific tasks the intern will be responsible for related to public policy research and/or a research-based advocacy campaign; and
** A copy of both sides of the applicant's ID Card.
Applications can be submitted in English and Georgian, but English is preferred. During the internship period, reports to EWMI G-PAC will be submitted only in English.
