The USAID Economic Security Program is pleased to announce its Request for Applications RFA-041 "Development and Introduction of Wine Passport to Wine and Gastronomy Value Chains in Kakheti Region".
The USAID Economic Security Program (the Program) is a five-year, USAID-funded project implemented by DAI to accelerate broad-based growth of sectors that show strong potential to create jobs, to increase incomes, to increase micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) revenues, and to support diversification to more productive economic activities.
The Program is pleased to announce a Request for Applications for interested local non-governmental organizations (NGOs), micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), sector associations, and regional destination management organizations to provide a financial support for advancement of wine and gastronomy value chains by development and introduction of a wine passport, as a first-ever tourism product/service in Georgia. Bringing of the wine passport service will offer remarkable experiences to visitors, drive tourists to already popular attractions, promote new, less-visited though quality destinations, increase length of time of visitors` stay, boost spending, and encourage new and repeated visits. Furthermore, the initiative will increase revenues and improve profitability of MSMEs engaged in tourism sector, along with increasing impact on sustainable socio-economic development of Georgia.
