Background & Justification

MAC Georgia actively works in partnership with Moirge, an organisation established in 2018 that provides intermediate and advanced wheelchair provision service to persons between the ages of one and eighteen with mobility needs in Georgia. Utilising a mobile team, Moirge employs certified occupational therapists and seating technicians who provide individuals with a high-quality evaluation and needs assessment, walks them through various wheelchair types that fit their individual needs, and provides wheelchair delivery and on-site fittings at regional hubs. These specialists also provide wheelchair training and follow-up, all in accordance with WHO Guidelines.
