Oxfam GB is announcing an opening for the following position: Programme Coordinator (Agriculture and Rural Development Programme).
Location: Tbilisi
Employment status: full-time employment agreement, competitive salary and benefits package
Contract length: 4 years
Main dimensions and responsibilities:
** Coordinate and deliver agreed plans or strategies over which the job holder has some strategic input
** Knowledge and understanding of Georgian policy environment
** Help shape local level objectives within a specific team
** Decision-making requires significant levels of judgement based on technical and management experience, generally actively supported by line management or the programme team
** Forward planning & coordination of the assigned programme
** Ensure that Porgramme results are delivered in line with the set indicators
** Ensure quality and timely implementation of all programme activities by programme staff and partner organisations
** Close coordination with key players under the programme framework, e.g. other INGOs
** Build and manage relationships with relevant stakeholders at different levels
** Member of Project governance group, making strategic decision on problem solving
** Providing technical support to implementing partners on various issues, including their capacity building as required
** Oversee and coordinate various capacity building activities for farmers groups
** Line manage the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, including day to day support and capacity building
** Help ensuring good relations with donors are maintained and that all donor requirements are met.
Required qualifications:
** University degree in economic development and/or Social/Environmental Sciences, Agribusiness Administration
** At least 5 years experience working in a job related sector (government or NGO) preferably on poverty/vulnerability issues
** Proven experience in project cycle management
** Ability to think/operate innovatively and strategically to bring about change
** Strong conceptual and analytical skills
** Ability to plan workloads and demonstrate accountability for outputs in line with the requirements of the strategy
** Demonstrable awareness of own strengths and areas of weakness and evidence of self managed learning
** People management experience
** Proven experience in Disaster Management and CCA
** Demonstrable advocacy experience
** Proven capacity building skills in the area of expertise
** Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
** Well developed interpersonal and team working skills and proven ability to be flexible and sensitive in demanding situations.
** Understanding of gender issues and commitment to promoting gender equity
** Excellent communication skills (GEO/ENG)- written & spoken
** Strong conceptual and analytical skills
** Ability to think/operate innovatively and strategically to bring about change
** Ability to travel at short notice.
