The Eastern Partnership European School is a joint initiative of the European Union and the Government of Georgia, representing one of the objectives of the EU document "20 Deliverables for 2020", and is reflected in the Action Plan for the implementation of the Association Agreement between the EU and Georgia.
The School is founded by the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia.
The construction of the school adjacent to Lisi lake in Tbilisi is underway. The school will offer two different streams:
Georgian-language stream offering an enhanced national curriculum for lower secondary (grades 7-9) and upper secondary (grades 10-12),
English-language international stream (grades 11-12). In future, the school will seek authorisation for the IB Diploma Programme.
The school funds the study and living of students from the Eastern Partnership countries (Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Moldova and Belarus) on the school`s international IB programme under the EU funding programme.
In September 2024, the school will be ready to welcome students.
