Save the Children Georgia Country Office is now accepting applications for the position of Mobile Community Counceler for Strengthening Community Based Referral of War-affected Communities in Shida-Kartli (SCBR) Project funded by Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration (BPRM)
Position title: Mobile Community Counselors

Role Purpose: The Mobile Community Counselors conduct psychosocial assessments, support and/or referrals to conflict affected children/youth and their parents in IDP settlements defined by the project.
Working area:Shida Kartli region/Gori adjacent IDP settlements.
Key Areas of Accountability:
** Identification, assessment, intervention/or referral, and follow-up of psychological needs of war-affected children/youths and parents.
** Ensure planning and implementation of activities for children and youths based on psychosocial needs.
** Produce case management notes for each individual case identified
** Prepare and conducting community level trainings on psychosocial topics, as defined in the project framework
Co-facilitating advice service for parents on weekly basis on group or individual (outreach) meetings in partnership with Case Manager and Information Manager
** Support Project Manager to compile monthly reports
** Collaborate with Protection Referral Team members to ensure weekly work/visit plans are submitted to project Manager on a weekly basis.
Required Qualifications:
** Bachelors Degree in Psychology
** At list 2 years of practice in counselling and/or applied psychology;
** Direct experience of identifying children's psychosocial issues
** Knowledge of state social support and health services, and referral mechanisms in the Georgian context.
** Ability to communicate well with children/youth and parents.
** Understanding of child development
** Case management reporting skills
** Microsoft word programs and computer literacy
** Written and spoken English
