A Georgian NGO Welfare Foundation in the framework of Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA) and Oxfam supported project "My Rights, My Voice" invites applications for conducting research on the accessibility of children and youth to health care services in 2 post-conflict regions of Georgia: Samegrelo and Shida Kartli.
The task of selected candidate (s) will be to develop research methodology (according to Health Rights Monitoring Strategy developed for the Public Defender's Office) and conduct qualitative and quantitative studies in 2 post conflict regions of Georgia: Shida Kartli and Samegrelo.
The specific tasks for the candidate (s) are as follows:
** Develop research methodology;
** Develop focus group discussion (FGD) guides for qualitative research;
** Conduct trainings for quantitative research interviewers;
** Pre-test the questionnaire and make appropriate changes in the initial version;
** Define target audience and conduct FGDs (parents, health workers, IDPs and etc.)
** Supervise field work;
** Collect and analyze results both from quantitative and qualitative research;
** Prepare final study report.
The required qualifications of candidate (s) are as follows:
** Advanced degree in public health research methods or related disciplines;
** Extensive research experience in the relevant topic with the following target groups: children and youth, medical doctors, IDPs;
** Knowledge and understanding of child and youth health issues in the Georgian and international context
** Good knowledge in statistical software (SPSS and etc.)
** Excellent presentation skills
** Knowledge of NGOs programs specifics
** Deep understanding of public health, reproductive health, gender issues is highly desirable
** Ready to travel and conduct trainings in the post-conflict regions of Georgia.
