The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic has launched a Call for Proposals for projects targeting the priorities of the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum.
The Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs has allocated up to 100 000 € for small projects implemented by the civil society organizations in Partner countries in 2014. Applying organizations should come preferably from Partner countries – Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine. The projects should concentrate on priorities of the 1st and 4th Working Groups of the Civil Society Forum which are:
-Democracy, Good governance and Stability;
-Contacts Between People, Networking.
We are looking for projects with an "Eastern Partnership appeal” overcoming single-country optics (involving more than one EaP country) and addressing issues common for several Eastern Partnership countries. This may also include sharing experience among civil society in various countries, addressing divisions between countries or exploring common solutions to problems. Projects focused on one particular country only will not be considered eligible.
Requested funding should not exceed 20 000 € and projects implementation should end by 15th September 2014. The project proposal should not exceed 6 pages and the overall size of document should not exceed 1 MB. We will be looking forward to receive the project proposals in English by 12th March 2014 14:00 CET at the latest. Project implementation is due to start in April. Contact e-mail addresses for submitting project proposals are jan_latal@mzv.cz and jan_marian@mzv.cz.
When considering
the quality and relevance of the project proposals, the Ministry will look on
the following criteria:
·Compliance with above mentioned formal requirements of the call
·Regional impact of the project and its sustainability (i.e. whether the
addressed issue is common for more EaP countries)
·Participation of subjects from more than one EaP country
·Relevance to the thematic priorities of the 1st and 4th Working Group of the
Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum
·Effective use of financial resources
·Quality, methodology and feasibility of project proposal
·Capability and credibility of involved organizations
The results
of the selecting process will be announced on the web pages of the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic tentatively in the first half of April
2014. The successful Applicants will be notified by the MFA
employees. Once the representatives of selected organizations and MFA agree on
a final version of the project document, the responsible representative of the
organization will sign the contract with the respective Czech embassy. The
payment will be divided into two instalments. First instalment
of 80% of the project budget will be paid after signature of the contract. The
remaining amount will be paid after submission and approval of the final
report. The Applicants whose projects are not selected will not be notified
individually.
