Accion Contra el Hambre - Spain (ACF), as part of the ACF International network, is an international non-governmental, private, apolitical, non confessional and non-profit organization created in 1979. Its vocation is to combat hunger, misery and life threatening situations that effect men, women and children. Currently 500 expatriate and more than 5,000 national employees are working in our International Network. ACF is present in more than forty-six countries working in projects focusing on the following areas: nutrition, health, food security & livelihoods and water and sanitation. ACF has been operating in the South Caucasus region since 1994.

Currently ACF is opening the position of Project Facilitator for COBERM project funded by European Commission. The goal of the project is to support the establishment and strengthening of business-oriented farmers groups to promote increased effectiveness and competitiveness of small farmers in the agricultural economy.

Main responsibilities:

I. Facilitation and assistance in project activities:

** Assess beneficiaries together with the project team;

** Keep accurate records on project beneficiaries with regular updates;

** Support the implementation of all activities Samegrelo - Gali regions;

** Monitor the implementation of community projects;

** Create and manage database for the needs of the project;

** Act as an accurate and proper information channel between ACF and its beneficiaries;

** Work towards increasing decision-making skills and transparency in the project's communities;

** Participate in group meetings and take minutes;

** Support activities related to the Livelihood component, maintain good working relations with community members and conduct frequent meetings with different groups of communities;

** Facilitate meetings of group members with the local authorities;

** Assess training needs of men and women;

** Monitor and evaluate different trainings according to the needs

** Monitor project activities as well as activities of other agencies involved in the relevant area or operation;

** Provide Deputy Program Officer with field reports and assist in preparing other reports as needed;

** Promote participation in project activities;

** Prepare necessary teaching and training material for the sessions;

II. Liaise with partners, stakeholders and other agencies.

III. Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability.

Requirements:

** At least 2 years of experience in similar jobs and responsibilities

** Initiative and flexibility; Able to work in Gali and Zugdidi

** Good negotiation and communication skills;

** Punctuality and availability;

** Reliable, serious and honest;

** Attentive to details, good organization and time management skills;

** Good knowledge of computer programs (Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook);

** Team player, with sense of professionalism and loyalty to the organization;

** Motivated by humanitarian aims and flexible in time;

** Capable of writing reports in English;

** Good knowledge of the region of intervention;

** Teaching skills;

** Good knowledge of Georgian, Russian, and English.

Terms and conditions:

** Based in Gali, with regular field visits to Zugdidi

** Five day working week, overtime required occasionally

** Contract according to Labour Law

** Medical insurance.
