British Council in Georgia is pleased to announce an 8-month free English Language Enrichment Course in General English for journalists of Georgian media: print, TV and radio.
The program is initiated by British Petroleum and sponsored by British Petroleum.
The courses will start in April 2014. August will be a holiday.
Requirements:
** The level of English language required will be intermediate, upper intermediate and advanced which will be determined by means of British Council placement tests and interviews.
** Strong motivation to commit to 4 hours of English a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays at 09:00-11:00 am) and full participation and commitment to the learning process in each group of journalists.
** Ability and strong commitment to study outside of the classroom
** Ability and strong commitment to attend additional social events organized and supported by the BP and British Council in Georgia
** Good interpersonal and communication skills
The selection process has three parts to it:
** the first selection process is done based on the information contained in the CVs and letters of motivation sent;
** the shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a placement test to check their English proficiency level;
** the candidates that demonstrate the required English level will be invited to attend an interview.
The final selection of the candidates will be based on their performance at their interview.
