NIMD South Caucasus is announcing a vacancy for an intern at its Tbilisi office.
Brief Summary:
NIMD South Caucasus will host an intern at its Tbilisi office for up to 12 weeks during the spring-summer of 2014. The intern will work as part of the South Caucasus team and will be involved in day-to-day activities of NIMD's Political Party Assistance, Democracy Education and South Caucasus regional programs. The tasks will include desk research, data management, online communication, web content creation, reporting and technical administration, planning, and calendar management. The intern will have an opportunity to attend ongoing public events with the participation of NIMD in Tbilisi, as well as in the regions (if such events take place in the duration of the internship).
The internship is suitable for candidates who have professional interest in democratization, civic education, political party development and the South Caucasus region.
Expected attributes:
** Strong knowledge of English language (Knowledge other regional language is a plus)
** Good verbal and written communication skills
** Academic background in social or political science
** Professional interest in political development and international affairs
** Research skills
** Some Experience of working in a professional setting is an advantage, but not a requirement
Internship will commence in May 2014. The work of an intern is valued highly at NIMD. S/he will have an ample opportunity to network with the leading staff and other professional contacts. The internship is designed to provide a meaningful working experience and flexibility in setting learning objectives. NIMD will also provide a limited stipend for its interns.
