Mercy Corps is pleased to announce an opening for the position of Agricultural Business Development Officer.

Duty Station: Batumi

Required knowledge and experience:

** At least 3 years experience in a field context working in agriculture

** Knowledge and experience of livestock support services, e.g. veterinary, breeding and nutrition services is highly preferred.

** Knowledge of livestock sector and small holder agriculture in upper Adjara is highly desirable

** Experience and qualifications in business development is preferred

** Experience of working with business-oriented farmers and Agricultural Service Providers

** Resident of the region

** Fluency in Georgian

** Fluency in written and oral English is an advantage

** Preference given to candidates with local language skills

** Entrepreneurial spirit, adaptability and an ability to think creatively around market development problems

** Willingness and availability to intensively travel to the regions/areas, covered by the programme

** Excellent communication and problem solving skills

** Computer skills: MS processing application (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Internet Explorer).
