Established in 2000, the Women's Information Centre (WIC) supports women NGOs and promotes women's leadership. WIC is a co-founder of the Coalition of women's NGOs in Georgia and a member of various international networks. WIC has representations in different regions of Georgia. Representing a bridge organization between policy makers and grassroots unions, it aims at contributing to the improvement of political, economical and social conditions of women in Georgia through advocating changes to the legislative basis, improving access to information and awareness rising on their rights and opportunities. WIC works on the international, regional, national and grassroots level. The organization focuses on advocacy/lobbying/public policy, informational and educational activities, direct help, charity and non-profit enterprise activities.
