Two positions as PhD research fellows in the project Discourses of the Nation and the National are available in the Department of Literature, Area Studies and European Languages (ILOS) at the University of Oslo in Norway. The department seeks PhD candidates with excellent research qualifications that will contribute to the project.

They must concentrate on identity construction in one or more discourse types (e.g., media, political discourse, institutional discourse, literature, academic discourse, cultural and social criticism, or other discourse types) in the past or present, or both, and on the relation between discourse and its sociocultural context.
