The grant may include funding to support activities in the participants’ home countries that are designed to reinforce and support the skills and linkages acquired during the tech camp. The Embassy will award a grant up to $100,000 dollars to pay for the travel and lodging of all participants and trainers, venue costs, internet connectivity, and follow-on activities. The follow-on activities $20,000-$50,000 may support the camp participants with digital tools and sustain activities after the camp. This funding is part of the overall grant of up to $100,000. Such activities could include technical support, additional training for journalists and media NGOs in the regions, hackathons, or tech-focused youth journalism activities. The Tech Camp training is expected to be completed in June 2016. The grantee may suggest possible Georgian and international trainers for the workshop.
